A topical composition comprising:(a) a first lipid selected from petroselinic acid and/or docosahexaenoic acid and/or derivatives thereof;(b) a second lipid which is an activator of peroxisome proliferator activated receptors sub-type alpha and/or derivatives thereof and/or mixtures thereof; and(c) a dermatologically acceptable vehicle; with the proviso that the first and second lipids are not the same lipid. The compositions are useful as cosmetic anti-ageing skin care creams and lotions. |
