PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that suppresses acoustic interference received by a microphone and to provide a device therefor. SOLUTION: In the method for enhancing identification of a sound from a sound source 54 relating to acoustic interference, a plurality of sound sensors 52 are arranged at prescribed positions and respective signals from a plurality of the sound sensors are received in response to the acoustic interference and the sound source. Respective characteristics of a plurality of signals at each of a plurality of spectral bands are decided, the characteristics are analyzed and a spectral gain function to identify part of the signal relating to the sound source and to enhance it is calculated. The signals from one or a plurality of sound sensors are processed to generate a coupled master signal and the spectral gain function is applied to the master signal so that an output signal to enhance part of the signal relating to the sound source is generated with respect to the spectral gain function due to the acoustic interference.
