PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow information to be continuously recorded to a recording medium with simple constitution by recording the information inputted when there are no more recording regions into a memory, exchanging the recording medium, executing the recording of the information inputted by jumping a prescribed quantity from the top and recording the stored information from the top of the exchanged medium after the end of the recording of the inputted information. SOLUTION: When a control section 8 decides that there is no more residual recording capacity of the disk currently executing recording, the control section 8 causes the recording information inputted from an I/D 12 to be recorded in the memory 6 and records the recording start position to the memory 6 facing the next disk into another memory. The control section 8 commands an automatic changer 3 to house the old disk into a housing section 1 and to set the next disk, thereby exchanging the disk. After the exchange, writing is started by emptying the region where the information recorded in the memory 6 can be recorded from the top. The information recorded in the memory 6 is read out and written to the emptied region after the end.
