PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve a load of a center station by counting the number of times of occurrences of events on a transmission control procedure caused on communication and allowing a facsimile terminal to send transmission control procedure information to a center station depending on its importance. SOLUTION: A center station in advance designates a code of an event that requires transmission of a transmission control procedure on the occurrence of the event and designates number of times of the occurrence of events that requires transmission of the transmission control procedure to the center station to the facsimile terminal at a remote place. The facsimile terminal transmits the transmission control procedure to the center station when an important code takes place even once such as a code corresponding to the important event where the communication cannot be normally continued on the occurrence of the event like expiration of time and a failure in trailing so that the center station can diagnose the procedure. The facsimile terminal transmits the transmission control procedure to the center station when a code corresponding to an event not leading to discontinued communication, if it takes place, such as a fall-down and re-transmission of an ECM(error correction mode) takes place after the occurrence of a plurality of number of times so that the center station can diagnose the procedure.
