PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive high-quality pressure sensor by constituting the sensor in such a way that the sensor can be manufactured through a less number of bonding steps than the conventional example and, at the same time, eliminating the need of a jig and a glass-made buffer member for positing electrode pins. SOLUTION: A pedestal package is provided with a metallic cylindrical member (metallic connector 6), positioning glass 4 which is provided in the cylindrical member and made of a nonconductive material, and hermetically sealing glass 5 which is laid on the glass 4 in the cylindrical member and made of such a nonconductive material that softens at a lower temperature than the glass 4 does. The package is also provided metallic electrode pins 3 which are passed through the glass 4 and 5. The contacting sections between the cylindrical member and glass 4 and between the pins 3 and glass 4 are hermetically sealed.
