METHOD FOR DISPLAY CONTROL OVER MENU IN FIF FORM AND DATA INPUT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the contents from being hidden behind an in-line display menu when input data is selected in the pull-down menu on a data input picture in FIF(File In the Form) form. SOLUTION: A document display means 15 reads out and displays a notice document in FIF form completed by embedding data in blank columns from a document information storage means 11 and a menu display means 18 makes a pull-down display of corresponding menu information in the in-line form corresponding to a blank column position instructed by a input means 20. A document display position control means 13 and a document display property control means 14 receive the menu display position from a menu display position control means 16 and change the property (line spacing) and display position of a notice sentence overlapping with the menu, e.g. inserts carriage returns corresponding to menu height, thereby controlling the document display so that the document information will not be hidden behind the menu.
