PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that operates a cellular communication system in which a mobile station communicates with several base stations in a macro diversity mode and each base station receives a transmission power control TPC signal requesting the increase or decrease of a transmission power level from the mobile station. SOLUTION: A mobile station 10 generates a main signaling signal 23 showing one BTS3 of base stations BTS1, BTS2 and BTS3 receiving signals 17 to 19 with the best signal quality. The signal 23 is sent from the station 10 to the stations BTS1 to BTS3. The transmission power levels of the stations BTS1 to BTS3 are increased and/or decreased in accordance with the signal 23. |
