PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the thickness of a toner layer which is being formed on a developing roller uniform, using a simple structure, related to a developing device. SOLUTION: This developing device is constituted, so as to make the section on an image carrier 1 with which a layer thickness control member 2 is brought into contact, is made different at the operation time and the stand still time by forming the layer thickness control member 2 controlling the layer thickness of the developer formed on a developer carrier 1 into bent shape provided with a bending point 3, and making the length of the contact part side held in contact with the developer carrier 1 to be larger than the length of the the side held by the layer thickness control member holding member 4. |
