<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience of card utilization by minimizing the amount of damage even when a card is lost or stolen by confirming identity only when a cumulative amount exceeds a cumulative utilization limit amount in a system for executing the settlement of accounts related to a money transaction among a host, a terminal and the card. SOLUTION: A smart card is provided with a microcomputer, a memory and a contact part for receiving information from external terminal equipment or sending information to the external terminal equipment.
