PRODUCTION OF PLANOGRAHIC PRINTING PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superior production method for a planographic printing original plate capable of giving an image having high resolution, adaptable to a direct pattern forming method using laser, capable of giving an image even in a light room and not causing stain at the beginning of printing. SOLUTION: A planographic printing original plate obtained by disposing at least a hydrophilic layer on a substrate and a thin silver film layer on the hydrophilic layer is exposed with laser. By this exposure, the thin silver film layer is heated and the hydrophilic layer is exposed. The surface of the plate is then wiped with a wiping solution containing a component that dissolves silver.
