PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the sure protection of a disk by maintaining rigidity while reducing the thickness of a cartridge body for housing the disk. SOLUTION: This disk cartridge has the disk 5 formed in thickness to <=0.7 mm and the cartridge body 3 formed in thickness to <=4 mm and in the spacing of a disk housing part 30 for housing the disk 5 to >=2.4 mm and is formed by bending this cartridge body 4 and thixotropic molding of a nonferrous metallic material having a modulus of elasticity of >=2.4 GPamm2. A magnesium alloy or aluminum alloy is used as the nonferrous metallic material.
