摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type liquid crystal display device in which a recess can be easily formed on the surface of a reflection display electrode. SOLUTION: When a source electrode 18 of a TFT(thin film transistor) on an insulating substrate 10 is formed, a plurality of pads 100 as projections are formed at a time on an interlayer insulating film in the region where a reflection display electrode 20 is to be formed. Then contact holes are formed at the position corresponding to the source electrode 18 and at the position corresponding to the pads 100 in a flattening insulating film formed on the source electrode 18, pads 100 and interlayer insulating film so that recesses 102 can be easily formed in a reflection display electrode 20 formed on the flattening insulating film. Since the incident light can be emitted to various directions, a reflection type liquid crystal display device having a wide viewing angle can be obtained.</p>
