PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road information collecting center and a navigation device having a function for transmitting information to the center, by which information concerning a road is excellently collected even unless a vehicle sensor or the like is arranged on the road. SOLUTION: The navigation device stores present position information by the correspondence of an infralink ID corresponding to the road where the vehicle is travelling with the average speed of the vehicle itself. When providing information such as traffic jam information is requested to the information center, data of stored present position information is transmitted to the information center (S110) and, then, a signal requesting desired providing information is transmitted to the center (S120). In the information center, various kinds of providing information are generated based on present position information transrnitted from each vehicle and requested providing information is returned to the navigation device. Then (S130: YES), the navigation device receives it and fetches it (S140). |
