PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a user about a channel actually switched by displaying a channel when an angle is switched after an angle revision instruction in a reproduction device having a multi-angle reproduction function. SOLUTION: When an AV decoder 2 receives header information from a drive 1, a CPU 6 analyzes its address. When the CPU 6 discriminates a single channel, a memory in the inside of the AV decoder 2 stores AV information in succession to the header information and the CPU 6 requests transfer of data starting from a header information start address to the drive section 1. When the result of analysis of the header information start address indicates presence of a plurality of channels, the memory inside the AV decoder 2 stores the AV information in succession to the header information and then the CPU 6 request the drive 1 to transmit a bit stream starting from the header information start address of a channel designated by a user. The AV information stored in the memory inside the AV decoder 2 is sequentially decoded into a video signal and an audio signal, which are being outputted.
