PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce positioning relative to a mating connector housing before a start of fitting, prevent a rotating member from erroneously excessively rotating after fitting, and easily detect a state of halfway fitting by a visual observation. SOLUTION: This electric connector housing 1 is provided with a member housing chamber formed on an outer surface of a rotating member 3 to project in the diametral direction, a fitting-detection member 4 inserted freely movably backwards and forwards in the terminal insertion direction into the member housing chamber and engaging with the rotating member at one end before a start of fitting and after fitting to prevent rotation, a ring-like wall formed on an outer surface of a mating connector housing 5 to project in a peripheral direction, and a slide-contact surface formed on the side of the rotating member of the ring-like wall, butted by the opposite side of the fitting-detection member at a start of fitting and slid in the midst of fitting. The fitting-detection member is separated from the slide-contact surface immediately after fitting to be able to elastically return to the state before the start of fitting.
