PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multibeam emitting device capable of accurately adjusting a beam interval even in the case of using a sensor inferior in detecting accuracy. SOLUTION: A CPU turns on a laser diode LD1 and acquires the output value of every pixel of a CCD line sensor. By turning on a laser diode LD2 by the same light quantity as a laser beam LB1 and driving a linear stepping actuator 130 stepwise, the beam axis of the laser beam LB2 is made to approach the beam axis of the laser beam LB1 and a value twice as high as an output value of every pixel of the CCD line sensor is acquired so as to judge the coincidence of the irradiation positions of the laser beams LB1 and LB2. Then, the CPU acquires N steps corresponding to a regular distance, and the actuator 130 is driven by the N steps.
