PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airflow direction changing device for an air conditioner, which is reduced in the resistance of air as much as possible, improved in appearance, simple in constitution and low in its cost. SOLUTION: An airflow direction changing vane for changing the outlet angle of air in up-and-down direction is divided into three pieces, and separated left-and-right airflow direction changing vanes 12, 14 are connected through a first connecting shaft 24 while the left-and-right airflow direction changing vanes 12, 14 are driven integrally by a first driving source 22. Further, a central airflow direction changing vane 16, provided between the left-and-right airflow direction changing vanes 12, 14, is driven by a second driving source 36 through a second connecting shaft 34 while the first and second connecting shafts 24, 34 are arranged on the same straight line.
