PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coin reception and payment device allowing a casher to speedily pay out an accurate money amount. SOLUTION: A coin reception and payment device classifies coins fed into a coin feeding port by each money kind to house them and pays out a prescribed amount of the housed coins to the coin paying port at need. In the device, at the time of paying out a prescribed money kind of coins to the coin paying out port by a prescribed number of coins by receiving data on a pay-out scheduled amount (steps S2 to S3), the number of the coins paid out to the coin paying out port is counted by each money kind (step S4) and a number of excessive/short coins is calculated by each money kind (step S5) to display the calculated number of the excessive/short coins on a display part by each money kind (step S9). Thus, the number of excessive/short coins to be paid can be guided to the casher by each money kind and the casher can speedily pay out an accurate amount of money.
