PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively degass water by removing air bubbles produced when ice is produced. SOLUTION: An orbital motion imparting mechanism 30 for causing an ice making block 24 to perform an orbital motion on a plane in parallel with a surface of water retained in the ice making block 24 is provided. By this constitution, the water in the ice making block 24 is rotated so as to rotate unfrozen water and air bubbles adhering on a freezing surface is made to flow so as to be detached from the surface so that water is effectively degassed.
