PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for suppressing a loopback noise of a color that can suppress a noise from a dark part in spite of a small circuit scale in a solid-state image pickup device that converts an object image into luminance information and chrominance information and provides an output of them. SOLUTION: A solid-state image pickup element 1 is provided with a color filter of the Bayer arrangement. A horizontal correlation detection means 15 detects a horizontal correlation signal RH denoting a signal change in the horizontal direction in an output signal from the solid-state image pickup element 1. A vertical correlation detection means 16 detects a vertical correlation signal RV denoting a signal change in a vertical direction. A 1st synthesis processing means 21 generates a 1st color difference signal (R-G) on the basis of the magnitude correlation among a 1st difference signal (R-G1), a 2nd difference signal (R-G2), the horizontal correlation signal RH and the vertical correlation signal RV. A 2nd synthesis processing means 21 generates a 2nd color difference signal (B-G) on the basis of the magnitude correlation among a 3rd difference signal (B-G1), a 4th difference signal (B-G2), the horizontal correlation signal RH and the vertical correlation signal RV.
