The anti-tip bar consists of a cross-member (1) fixed by brackets (12) to the chassis of the caravan or trailer and fitted with pivoted struts (2) with rollers (4) on their ends. The struts, measuring about 30 cm long with their pivots inside the cross-member, have notches for latches (6) which hold them in the deployed position. The latches are also pivoted to the cross-member and are connected by cables (9) to a counterweight (10) which locks them automatically in the notches when the struts are deployed to a given angle. The latches and struts are returned to their retracted positions manually.
