PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bright liquid crystal projector without irregular display. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal projector is equipped with a light source, a 1st polarizing plate 202, a liquid crystal light valve 209, a 2nd polarizing plate 212 and a projection means. Then, all the glass moldings 203 to 207 and 210 through which light is transmitted to the 1st and the 2nd polarizing plates are made of heat resistance glass whose absolute value of an average linear expansion coefficient is <=10×10-7/ deg.C. |
