PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evade the stop of processing by a microprocessor by initializing peripheral circuits even when a CPU stalls at a stall request made by a peripheral circuit. SOLUTION: This microprocessor is provided with a CPU 101, an initialization condition holding means 105 which holds initialization conditions of peripheral circuits 102, 103, and 104 according to settings from the CPU 101, and an initializing means 111 which detects the compares the states and state transitions of the peripheral circuits 102, 103, and 104 with the initialization conditions and initializes the peripheral circuits 102, 103, and 104 through a signal line 108 when the initialization conditions are met.
