PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle sharing system preventing a person except for the owner of an electronic key from illegally using the key owing to change of key information for operating a vehicle after identifying an individual. SOLUTION: A password master storing part 2 stores the ID of a user and individual identification data of the user corresponding to this ID. A using customer terminal reads data on the ID from an IC card CD held up over a reading part by means of a CARD-ID reading mechanism 9. The user places his/her thumb on the scanner of the terminal 8. The scanner reads the fingerprint of the thumb to make picture data. The terminal 8 outputs the read ID to a database managing UNIT.7, and the part 2 instructs the retrieval of the picture data corresponding to this ID to compare the picture data inputted from the UNIT.7 with the picture data read from the scanner. When they are coincident with each other, the ID read from the IC card is transmitted to a shared vehicle designated by the user through the UNIT.7. |
