PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging apparatus capable of reducing a daily time and labor by charging the battery of a battery-assisted bicycle through the effective use of a bicycle parking time at a visiting place. SOLUTION: An apparatus 1 for charging battery to a battery-assisted bicycle consists of money feeding ports 2, 3, a counter 4 for counting a fed amount of money, a control CPU 5 for controlling the ON/OFF operation of a charger 6 by calculating a charging time by a signal from the counter 4 and the charger 6 for supplying a charging current to the battery to charge battery for a fixed time corresponding to the fed amount of money.
