PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dynamically re-stretch an optical path in response to traffic by controlling an optical switch based on connection information of an entire system at the reception of a cut-through setting packet or by its own judgment and setting an optical path to cut through a host layer of a node device. SOLUTION: A node control function section 2B collates information of an arrived packet (or information of a currently flowing packet) with network information acquired by a connection information reply function section 2B3 and outputs an instruction for path switching to itself and other optical connect section 2C when the node control function section 2B itself decides that setting of a cut-through is required. An optical path setting request function section 2B1 instructs path switching (output of a cut-through setting packet) and an optical path setting function section 2B2 executes the switching of the path based on the switching instruction. The cut-through optical path is enough to reduce even one packet forwarding processing by a router section 2A. |
