PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize image density by successively forming plural patch images based on the newest optimum electrifying bias and optimum developing bias calculated after a main power source is applied and stored in a storage means while changing at least either the electrifying bias or the developing bias in the case of repeating density adjustment. SOLUTION: In the case of repeating developing bias calculation processing, the optimum electrifying bias obtained by the previous measurement of the image density and stored in a RAM 127 is set as electrifying bias, and also developing bias is set based on the optimum developing bias stored in the RAM 127. In the case of repeating the density adjustment, plural patch images are successively formed based on the newest optimum electrifying bias and optimum developing bias calculated after the main power source is applied and stored in the RAM 127 while changing at least either the electrifying bias or the developing bias. |
