PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and inexpensively recycle an unnecessary disk by stripping and removing a recording layer formed on a substrate, sticking another substrate on which a recording layer is formed to the substrate whose recording layer is stripped and to form a new optical disk, thereby reutilizing the substrate whose recording layer is stripped and removed. SOLUTION: A compact disk(CD) 1 is provided with a substrate 11, a metal layer 12 and a protective layer 13. The protective layer 13 and the metal layer 12 are stripped and removed from the substrate 11 and a surface of the substrate 11 is flattened to form a recycled substrate 23. An adhesion layer 21 is formed on the flattened surface of the recycled substrate 23 and a cover sheet 16 having information preserved in a form of rugged shaped pits, grooves and the like transferred onto a surface thereof is stuck to the adhesion layer 21. At this time the cover sheet 16 is overlapped to the adhesion layer 21 formed on the recycled substrate 23 in such a manner that the adhesion layer 21 and a surface on which a dyestuff layer or a metal layer 12 of the cover sheet 16 are formed are opposed to each other. Thus, a recycled optical disk substrate 28 can be regenerated, which has a new recording layer formed on the surface of the recycled substrate 23. |
