PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the copyright of images while enabling a user to edit images. SOLUTION: In a system consisting of a server 10 for managing high resolution data and a client 20 for receiving the download of the data and editing the data, the server 10 converts the high resolution data managed by itself into low resolution data and downloads the low resolution data, the client 20 edits the low resolution data, uses the edited data and uploads edition operation information used for the edition to the server 10. The server 10 edits the original high resolution data by using the uploaded edition operation information and stores the edited result.
