PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera permitting to easily execute manual focus control operation without spoiling operability. SOLUTION: This electronic camera comprises a pickup lens unit 11 having a photographing optical system for image-forming an object image, a focus lens 11b which moves and adjusts an image-forming position of object image, an image pickup means 12 for photoelectric converting the object image formed by the luminous flux of the object passing through the photographing optical system into an electric signal, an instruction means 28 for generating an instruction signal for moving a focus lens, focus lens moving means 35, 36 for driving the focus lens according to the instruction signal from the instruction means, a position calculation means 38 for calculating a position equivalent value presenting the position of the focus lens, focusing evaluation value calculation means 23, 38 for calculating focusing evaluation value varying according to the focus state of the object image, and a display means 21 for displaying the position equivalent value by the position calculation means and the focusing evaluation value by the focusing evaluation value calculation means. |
