PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a map display device capable of displaying a current position or the like in a map without preparing an exclusive map in advance. SOLUTION: This map display device is provided with a display means 20 on which read out map picture data are made to be displayed, an input means 18 specifying an absolute position whose position is measured by a positioning means 13 in the map displayed on the display means 20 and a control means 11 which calculates a position in the map corresponding to the absolute position whose position is measured by the means 13 on the basis of absolute positions whose positions are measured by the means 13 of at least two positions in the map which are specified by the means 18 and which makes the calculated position to be displayed in the map displayed on the means 20. |
