PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit repairing of projection and recess of sliding surface or the like of a circumferential sealing member simply, quickly and inexpensively by a method wherein a cutting device for cutting the sliding surface or the like of the sealing member is attached to a rotor or a housing removably. SOLUTION: The sliding contact surfaces of sealing bars 11, 18 are cut by cutting devices B1, B2 to repair by eliminating projections, recesses, a differential flatness or the like through cutting work. The cutting device B1 for cutting the sliding contact surface of the sealing bar 11 is fixed through a mounting plate 20 attached to a housing 2 by welding or the like. On the other hand, the cutting device B2 for cutting the sliding contact surface of the sealing bar 18 is fixed through a mounting plate 21 fixed to a rotor 1 by welding or the like. When the cutting work is finished, the cutting devices B1, B2 are removed from the housing 2 and the rotor 1. According to this method, the projections or recesses of the sliding surface of the circumferential sealing member can be repaired simply, quickly and inexpensively.
