PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron gun for color cathode ray tube and electrodes thereof. SOLUTION: This electron gun comprises an external rim electrode in which large diameter electron beam passing holes 61, 71 for passing three electron beams are formed and an internal electrode provided inside the external rim electrode, having three inline electron beam passing holes 61, 71 and including a drawing part having an eccentric distance relatively larger than an eccentric distance between centers of the three electron beam passing holes 61, 71 at an edge part of each electron beam passing hole. As a result, aberration of electron beam generated by the large diameter electron beam passing holes 61, 71 can be reduced and a cross sectional shape of electron beam can be changed into a desired form. In particular, a focus voltage difference of electron beam passing through the large diameter electron beam passing holes 61, 71 is reduced to improved a focus characteristic of electron beam.
