发明名称 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS DRIVING METHOD
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve the difference in luminance along the expanding portion when conducting an expanding display in the vertical direction in a CsonGate type liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The device is provided with pixel electrodes arranged in a region which is divided into a matrix manner by plural signal lines and plural scanning lines, switching elements which are switched by the signals supplied by the scanning lines and supply the display signals supplied by the signal lines to the pixel electrodes, common electrodes, which are capacitively coupled through the pixel electrodes and a liquid crystal layer, and auxiliary capacitors which are formed between the pixel electrodes and the scanning lines of a previous stage. Then, display signals the same as the display signals along a prescribed scanning line are given to a next stage scanning line. Note that a first scanning period t1 and a second scanning period t2 are set in a horizontal scanning period H (Hk-1 and Hk...), a prescribed scanning line is scanned in the period t1 and the scanning line of the next stage is scanned in the period t2.
