PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance heating efficiency in induction heating by a coil member and to prevent image deterioration caused by magnetostrictive vibration accompanying coil excitation. SOLUTION: A fixing roller 10 in this induction thermal fixing device is constituted of a metallic roller part 11 formed of metal and the coil member 12 arranged inside the roller part 11. Then, (n) conductors 13 are arrayed (1 to n) and wound into spiral form round a bobbin. Furthermore, the conductors 13 are wound and formed by layer by layer in this arrayed state. By applying a high-frequency current to the member 12, induction current is generated in the roller part 11, and this is made to generate heat.
