PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a digital camera which is excellent in impact resistance and which is constituted so that photographing can be executed under various photographing conditions including a special photographing. SOLUTION: The camera body 12 is arranged inside an impact absorbing member or an exterior part 14 shaped like a ball for a ball game so as to be protected against impact from the outside. Besides, the exterior part 14 is provided with a battery 16 being as the power source of the camera body 12, a release switch 18 releasing the shutter of the camera body 12, a control part 20 controlling the releasing of the shutter of the camera body 12 based on a signal outputted from the switch 18 and an output part 22 for taking out a picture photographed by the camera body 12 in addition to the camera body 12.
