PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost and shorten a delivery period by performing order production in sight by using a method which can prevent a defective stock as much as possible upon receiving a tentative order. SOLUTION: A sales management device which is connected through a communication line, etc., to a terminal where a customer inputs ordering information, has a tentative ordering information input means, a stock information retrieval means which retrieves whether or not an article is in stock, a tentative reserving means which temporarily reserve an article when the article is in stock, an order-in-sight yield estimating means which obtains an order receivable range by estimating an order-in- sight yield when the article is not in stock, an order-receivable-state decision means which decides whether or not a tentative-order reception quantity is within the order receivable range, an order-in-sight production indicating means which makes an order- in-sight production indication when it is decided that the tentative-order reception quantity is within the order receivable range, a delivery period information generating means which generates delivery period information, and a format order request information transmitting means which sends order request information to the customer when it is decided that the tentative-order reception quantity is not within the order receivable range. |
