<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate input device with which a three-dimensional(3 D) coordinate can be efficiently and easily inputted and a control method therefor and a computer-readable memory. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a pointer 1 for pointing a 3D position and having a light emitting element 6 and plural switches 2, an X1 line sensor 9, an X2 line sensor 10, Y sensor 11 for receiving light radiated from the light emitting element 6 and measuring the 3D position, where the light emitting element exists, and a T sensor 12 for receiving light radiated from the light emitting element 6. On the basis of values measured by the X1 line sensor 9, the X2 line sensor 10 and the Y sensor 11, a CPU 18 calculates the 3D coordinate where the pointer 1 is located. On the basis of a signal outputted from the T sensor 12, the light emitting cycle of the light emitting element 6 is synchronized with the light receiving cycle of the X1 line sensor 9, the X2 line sensor 10 and the Y sensor 11.</p> |
