PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select an optimum frequency without missing data reception by testing the reception state of other frequencies when data addressed to its own station are not being transmitted. SOLUTION: A base station A is transmitting packet data to a mobile station 6 and the packet of a slot 1 includes time information up to a slot 3 to be received next. A mobile station 6 receives the data of the slot 1, first selects the frequency fB of a base station B to test the reception state until a time up to the slot 3, that is, in the period of the slot 2, tests the reception state of a base station C similarly and stores test results. In this case, since the mobile station 6 moves toward the base station B, the test result will show that the reception state from the base station B is better. After receiving the succeeding slot 3, the mobile station 6 selects an optimum reception frequency according to the test results. |
