PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power expense of an air supply blower or the like and save energy by providing devices for switching a via-element airflow path and a non-via-element airflow path, respectively, between an outside air intake port and a heat exchanging element and between an exhaust side airflow path and the heat exchanging element of a ventilation unit. SOLUTION: When a damper 2 is in a state shown by the full line in the figure, that is, when it is in a state of conducting heat exchange, the air in a heat exchanging unit, an airflow in a heat exchanging unit, after being sucked from an outside air intake port 6 or an air circulation port 7, flows as shown by the full line arrows in the figure, that is, the air flows so as to pass through a heat exchanging element 1. The air flows toward a communicating port 11 or 12 directed to a suction port of an air supply fan or an exhaust fan provided on a partition plate 13. When the damper is in a state shown by the broken line in the figure, the air flows as shown by the broken line arrows in the figure, that is, the air flows so as not to pass through the heat exchanging element 1 but toward the communicating port 11 or 12 directed to the suction port of the air supply fan or the exhaust fan provided on the partition plate 13. Accordingly, power consumption in conducting normal ventilation can be saved.
