PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently recover data after power recovery, by performing processing for maintaining the data to be written in a storage medium possessed by a temporary storage means in a prescribed auxiliary storage means together with prescribed data information, when a specified input is turned off during data write processing, and power is supplied from an uninterruptive power supply means. SOLUTION: When an AC input to the recording medium library array device LA is disconnected due to a power failure, etc., a power supply part PS operates as an uninterruptive power supply device and supplies power to an array controller AR and an auxiliary storage device HD. The array controller AR saves cache data, which have been about to be written in a medium held in internal cache memory, in the auxiliary storage device HD. Then, power failure information and volume information are written including the cache data. When all the cache data have been stored in the auxiliary storage device HD, the uninterruptive power supply device is stopped to end the processing.
