CONVERGENCE DRIVE CIRCUIT, DRIVE METHOD AND DEGAUSSING METHOD FOR CONVERGENCE YOKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a degaussing method that is used for a core of a convergence yoke magnetized resulting from flowing of a momentary large current and to provide a drive circuit adopting this method. SOLUTION: A coil and a circuit exclusively used for degaussing are not required by using the convergence drive circuit that is originally used for convergence correction also for degaussing. Thus, the drive circuit is provided with a circuit that generates a degaussing waveform together with a convergence correction waveform and with a convergence output circuit 8 that converts the degaussing waveform and the correction waveform into a current waveform. The degaussing waveform and the convergence correction waveform may selectively be generated or generated in an overlapped form.
