PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary continuously an oscillation wavelength in a bi-resonant type optical parametric oscillator resonating with both of a signal beam and an idler beam. SOLUTION: A signal beam resonator of an optical length Ls is constituted of a TYPE-II non-linear crystal 12 outputting polarizing beams of the signal beam orthogonally intersected with the idler beam, a polarizing beam splitter 13, a relay mirror 14a and a common mirror 15, and an idler optical resonator of the optical length Li is constituted of the non-linear crystal 12, the polarizing beam splitter 13, the relay mirror 14 and the common mirror 15, and respective resonator optical lengths and respective oscillation wavelengths are set beforehand so as to be satisfied with the relation Li/Ls=ωi/ωs, and the common mirror 15 is displaced, and the optical length L, of the signal beam oscillator and the optical length Li of the idler beam oscillator are changed complementarily, and the oscillation wavelengths of the signal beam and the idler beam are changed continuously.
|
