PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mount piezoelectric resonator with high sealing reliability even when the resonator is made small in size. SOLUTION: The surface mount piezoelectric resonator consists of a housing case 4 with through-holes 51, 61, 71, lead terminals 5, 6, 7 whose one-end side is fixed to an inner wall face of the through-holes and whose other end side is led out from the bottom of the housing case to a side face, a piezoelectric resonator element 1 and a sealing member 8 of an opening of the housing case, and the one-end side of the lead terminals is formed to be drawn shapes 501, 601, 701 and imbedded to the housing case.
