PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the appropriate setting of a visual/auditory limit level fitting to the visual/auditory limit scene by the user's judgement. SOLUTION: When a DVD 1 is loaded and a desired title is selected, a DVD reproducing part 2 is controlled by a system control part 4A to reproduce the presentation information from a top of the desired title. During the reproduction, the reproduced position is monitored by the system control part 4A while referring the various informations for controlling the reproduction, which are preliminarily read out from the DVD 1 and stored, and when the reproduction comes near to the visual/auditory limit section in the desired title, the reproduction is temporarily stopped. In this stage, when the visual/auditory limit level is set in an operation part by the user, the reproduction of the information allowing the set level of this time among the plural presentation information having the different visual/auditory limit strength prepared for the visual/ auditory limit section is restarted by the system control part 4A.
