PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for processing information that can efficiently distribute jobs from plural clients to plural devices. SOLUTION: According to requests from each of the clients, the jobs are registered in the order of generation as request jobs. Then, jobs are successively requested to the side of devices. First, whether it is a FAX reception job or not is judged in S4201, whether it is a scan job or not is judged in S4205 and whether it is a device job demand or not is judged in S4210. In the case of a job demand from a device, the demand source device is confirmed in S4211, the ability of that device is confirmed by a device managing table, afterwards, the presence/absence of a job to that device is retrieved from the said job table and when there is that job, on the basis of the retrieved result in S4212, relevant job data are transferred to the device side in S4213 and when there is no job, it is reported to the device side in S4214.
