PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming unit attached with a mechanism to carry out discrimination between new and old image forming units and an image forming device provided with a detecting means to carry out discrimination between the new and old image forming units. SOLUTION: In the image forming unit 13, a gear 76 rotated by obtaining driving force from the image forming device 1 main body after loaded on the image forming device 1 and a cam 77 whose position is irreversibly changed in one direction by receiving the rotation of the gear 76, switches 82 and 83 switching the state of a circuit are provided and a CPU to detect conductive state of the switches 82 and 83 is provided on the image forming device 1 main body. |
