PROCESS FOR PRODUCING PRINT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the productivity of a print production device (photographic copying machine) by not interrupting print production process in general without changing carrier materials. SOLUTION: The process for production of essentially rectangular prints of at least partially different formats by recording the image information existing at each of respective images on the carrier materials of a belt or sheet type formed from a group of essentially belt-like standard carrier materials having preselected different widths is implemented when the change of the carrier materials does not correspond to the belt width of the carrier materials for which the formats of the produced prints are currently utilizable. The process described above includes a stage for setting the sequence for recording the image information which is a foundation onto the carrier materials in such a manner that the number of times of the change of the required carrier materials is minimized according to the formats of the respective pictures in the set of the produced prints.
