PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a camera composed of units which effectively utilize space in order to make the camera compact, are high in the degree of freedom for designing and are utilized as the common unit. SOLUTION: This camera is constituted of the plural units including a cartridge chamber unit 5 including a cartridge chamber CPU 21 inside, a spool chamber unit 3 including a spool chamber CPU 48, a rail plate unit 1 which does not include a CPU inside, a lens barrel unit 7, a coupling reinforcing member 8 and a bottom board unit 9. Then, the units 5 and 3 are mutually connected through a flexible printed board for connection 15 at the manufacturing stage thereof.
