PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device, an image formation device and a power control method capable of keeping the maximum power at a certain value in heating a metallic fixating belt with a magnetic induction heating fixation method, eliminating the deterioration of output in conjunction with temperature rise, realizing relatively rapid and stable on-demand fixation, and of carrying out the emergency stop of the heating fixation operation by securing safety. SOLUTION: This heating device is provided with: a fixation unit part 313 having an excitation coil 18, a fixation belt and a thermistor 26; a current transformer 311 for detecting a current flowing through the excitation coil 18; and a driver circuit 316 carrying out control for limiting the maximum value of power supply to the excitation coil 18 based on the current detection value of the current transformer 311 and control for stopping the power supply to the excitation coil 18 when the detected temperature of a mutual press contact part between the fixation belt and a pressing roller exceeds a specified temperature.
